Clear coating Question: I have a 14K Yellow Gold 1/4 Carat t.w. Three-Stone Diamond Ring from Kay, and love it. I got a 10K Yellow Gold Band from them as well. My engagement ring has never bothered me, but the wedding ring makes my finger itch constantly. I've noticed some smeared clear substance on the inside of my ring, and showed it to my husband. Rhodium plating on Rings Question: Does rhodium plating a 14K gold ring with diamonds decrease the value of the ring? The reason I ask is that I was considering having my wedding set which is set in 14K gold set in platinum.
