The markings are located on the gold roping located on the back of cameo.

However I don’t understand these marks either because they are not standard hallmarks for quality.
It is possible that it is simply a Maker’s Identification Mark but using the small letter ‘k’ after the numbers seem to suggest otherwise?
Strange.
The only way you are going to know for sure is take it to your local FRIENDLY jeweler and have them take a closer look at it.
This should be free unless they have to do an acid test – in which case they may chanrge a small fee for their service.
Get it in writing (another fee) but at least then you will know and can stop guessing.
